Young poet in training

John Poet is full of beans!
Before he turned into a whining crybaby, John Poet was full of beans and ready for fighting the Evil Bunny on the Intarwebs. Photo courtesy the Lansing Elementary School archives.

A response to "Anonymous"

I don't normally pay a lot of attention to the anon comments here. but this one, showing up earlier today, deserves a response of its own.

>There was a time when Poet's commentary on politics was entertaining.

Perhaps. But after about the tenth show it got real repetitive.

>But his never ending rants at Commander Bunny only make Commander Bunny a bigger personality than ever before.

Only on the internet. Poet has not been heard on shortwave lately, except for a relayed show or two. He didn't say anything on these shows of any importance.

>Were on [sic] to believe any of what Poet says, and I don't, you'd have to believe that Commander Bunny is the single most powerful entity in Pirate Radio.

How so? Poet and his fan club insist that Commander Bunny, who they believe is the same person as "Pat Murphy," is responsible for all sorts of mayhem, including alerting the FCC to Gregory Brown's pirate radio station, which resulted in him getting a "Notice of unlicensed operation" letter from them.

>One would be an idiot to piss off someone that powerful.

I don't understand this line of thought at all. I always thought that one of the main principles of pirate radio was to rebel against authority, to make a voice against the "powerful." People involved in pirate radio are by definition "pissing off the powerful."

>Personally I see a lot of jealousy from the people who are critical of Commander Bunny.

Well, this may be the case in part. There are a lot of egos in the radio business, and in pirate radio, it seems like these egos are much more uninhibited (and often times they're under the influence of illicit substances).

>Face it, the guy is the biggest name in Pirate Radio.

Commander Bunny may think so. Does anyone else? This whole dispute is caused by a bunch of boys playing "I've got the biggest dork" and CB is just as guilty of playing the game as Guy Faux, Poet, and all the other socks and slurpers.

>Lot of credit for that goes to Poet, NRS, Guise and the other people who have tried to demonize Commander Bunny.

Guy Faux et. al. have done nothing to make Commander Bunny more popular or "bigger" in the pirate radio scene. On the contrary, their actions, and Bunny's reactions, and all of Poet's whining and spamming have disillusioned a lot of people in this scene. All this shit does nothing but make damn near everyone else chuckling and/or pitiful at this dumb "I have the biggest dork so I have to have the last word" contest.

>I'm just a listener, not picking sides, but its clear that Commander Bunny is jerking all of your chains, and you're not bright enough to see it. I have lost trust and respect for Chris Smolinski who has allowed his H.F. Underground site to become a dumping ground for trash from these people. What a shame. Started off good, but went down the tubes. Please stop, it serves no purpose, and only makes pirate radio look bad.

Ya, Chris has allowed socks to infiltrate his board, and has not called Poet on spamming his blog all over the place. The same thing happened to the frn as well. In fact, it was worse over there.

All of the participants in this dispute are equally guilty. Commander Bunny and the Poet caused Guy Faux and countless trolls to crawl out of the woodwork. The message to CB and the Poet should be: if you want to blame someone for this mess, look in the mirror.

Ruin

Typical of what's left of pirate radio. Pat/Jerry/Beans/et al ad nauseum spends all of his time railing against those who would truly promote the hobby, instead of transmitting truly original programming. Garbage. Pat/Jerry and whatever the f**ever he tries to pass himself off as w/his sockpuppets tried to drag my my personal life (even though he f**ed that up, since he just copied newspaper/piggy-police reports into what was left of the hobby, and we all know how offbase they are) into the hobby is just part of what f**ked what was left of pirate radio. He f***d that up by not looking into what the really facts are, yet peoples' personal life has nothing to do w/logging stations. I will no longer have anything to do w/what is left of pirate radio, but I will suggest that anyone that truly cares about what is left of it ignores Pat/Jerry/Bunny/Beans/Thumper/Kracker and all the sockpuppets and thier so-called stations and sockpuppet loggings. Peoples' personal lives have nothing to do w/hobbies, but Pat/Jerry/Beans/Thumper and his lackey Krackhead insist on bringing outside garbage into what was left of the hobby. People, if you reallly do care about what is left of this hobby, please do not post/mention anything about Murphy/BunnyKracker and those who are doing their most to ruin what was once a very fun hobby.

"Pope Poet" is a delusional monkey spanker!

John Poet, former pirate radio operator, now delusional monkey spanker

There's a sourpuss out there who used to be on the shortwave pirate bands. His name is "John Poet," and since he got a letter from the FCC in 2011 for broadcasting on the funny bands, he has gone completely insane.

Check this out:

The Crystal Ship or 'TCS' is a former North American shortwave pirate radio station, founded in 1982, reactivated in 2004, betrayed and busted in 2011. Now known as the TCS Shortwave Relay Network, with shows broadcast by other pirate radio operators. 'The Poet' and 'The Radical' program left-leaning political opinion, and specialize in music from the '60s, '70s and '80s.

If this is really what "The Crystal Ship" is about, then why in the world does he fill up page after page on his blog with meaningless drivel and rants about Commander Bunny? This has nothing at all to do with "left leaning political opinion" or "music from the '60s, '70s and '80s."

On the other hand, the piles and piles of raw sewage he spews on his blog more accurately depicts someone who has lost his fucking mind!

And, they call Alex Vranes insane.

Well, hairball, it isn't over. I'm not done with you yet, but the dish is just about cold enough to be served now. However, I'll be indulgent and play your game for just a minute: if we judge the matter of "winning" the pirate war on the basis of, who has been busted by the FCC, and who hasn't, well, then obviously you've "won" that one. Congratulations. I'm sure you're proud of what you've accomplished.

Of course Commander Vole won. Isn't it obvious? You fell for his trap hook, line and sinker. He gets off on all your meaningless childish prattle! And you still think he turned you in to the FCC? Again, it's obvious that John Poet, who obviously has so few brain cells left that he can't take responsibility for getting himself busted by broadcasting regularly in his own house, for hours at at time, on a predictable schedule, and who sent out e-mails to a large list before firing up transmitters?
